Reports to: Director of Special Education
Job Objective: Provides supplemental student instruction

Functions: enable a qualified individual with a disability to perform essential functions.
After School Tutor:
- Consults with student’s classroom teacher to clarify current lessons. Collects, organizes, and prepares instructional materials. Teaches assigned students. Returns completed assignments to the teacher. Makes administrators aware of concerns and emerging issues.
- Helps students with remedial activities.
- Provides Progress Monitoring to Special Education Director.
- Varies instructional techniques to address student learning styles. Provides accommodations as needed (e.g., differentiated curriculum, study guides, reading/transcribing assistance, etc.).
- Maintains a positive learning environment. Prepares progress reports as needed.
- Consults with parents as needed (e.g., phone calls, E-mail, written notes, meetings, etc.).
- Implements behavior management plans when required.
